MMCDC & White Earth Investment Initiative are sponsoring homebuyer education workshops FREE of charge. Home Stretch is recommended for first-time homebuyers but is useful information to all homebuyers. After completing the workshop you will receive a
Homebuyer Education Certificate of Completion and a free copy of your credit report. The workshop is required for certain down-payment assistance and loan programs; a schedule of 2011-2012 appears below.
The workshop will cover all aspects of the home-buying process. It will be fun and informal with food and prizes, while providing important information to help homebuyers make housing decisions that are best for them. Invited presenters include a lender, real estate agent, insurance representative, money management expert, a trained/certified homeownership counselor, and more.
