Mark Finstad

Bio

Mark Finstad joined MMCDC’s Board to serve Polk County in 2023. A 1982 graduate of NDSU in agricultural economics, he has worked for 41 years as a community banker, with the last 17 being at Ultima Bank Minnesota. He’s a senior advisor and member of the bank’s Board. Mark is also president elect of the Fosston Rotary Club, vice chair of the Northwest MN Multi-County Housing and Redevelopment Authority, chairman of the Fosston Economic Development Authority, president of the First Care Medical Services Foundation, and a member of multiple other boards. He aims to contribute to his community, county, state and country through board service in economic development, higher education, and healthcare. Mark has been married to Kathryn (Kathy) for 44 years and has two children and three grandchildren. His hobbies include swimming, hiking, and travel—he will have traveled to all seven continents by 2024.
